Alec Christie
Founder and Director of Creative

Alec Christie is a seasoned creative professional with a diverse background in film, television, and advertising.

Alec acted in his first ever commercial for Cadbury’s Fudge in 1984, which saw him playing hide and seek, getting angry and kicking a bin.

Alec expanded his expertise into production and direction starting in film and television and then moving back into advertising with agencies like Spring Studios, Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett, Ogilvy and McCann where he specialised in producing award winning agile social first content.

Alec’s passion for fashion, beauty, luxury brand and entertainment advertising allows him to apply that aesthetic to work for clients looking for brand elevation in the online space.

In his new role at Them Apples, Alec leverages his extensive experience and creative vision to develop compelling content for brands.

Mike Cassette
Executive Creative Director

Mike Cassette (not his real name) is the creative force behind Cassetteboy, pioneers of the mashup and viral video superstars.  Famous for his videos mocking Alan Sugar and countless politicians, Mike has also worked with a variety of brands, creating content for Sky Movies, Now TV, The Guardian, charities such as Greenpeace and Privacy International, and Cillit Bang. 

Working extensively with the BBC, Mike has created promotional videos for Line of Duty, Strictly Come Dancing and Match of the Day.  Mike’s sketches also appeared in Charlie Brooker’s Newswipe.

Mike has tailored his work for a variety of different audiences, both on and offline, creating public lectures and live stage shows, notably appearing at the Glastonbury Festival every year for the last 20 years. He also wrote a funny book.

A comedy writer first and foremost, Mike describes his painstaking Cassetteboy process as “writing jokes in the most laborious way imaginable.”

Anthony MacMurray
Executive Creative Director

Anthony MacMurray is an award-winning screenwriter for television, with numerous credits for channels including BBC, Channel 4, ITV1, Sky, Netflix, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. He was a lead writer on nine series of hit children’s comedy So Awkward, with his episode winning the BAFTA for Best Children’s Comedy in 2018 and the spin-off feature he wrote picking up a Royal Television Society Award nomination in 2023. 

Anthony is also an award-winning creative copywriter, specialising in comedy.  Since 2015, Anthony has been copywriting for leading London Marketing agency, We Are Spectacular, working on social, web and print campaigns for Fuller’s, Accor Hotels, All Bar One, Shell Energy, Iberica, Costa Coffee, Laithwaites Wine and many others.

As a freelancer, he has crafted copy and scripts for brands including Sky Showcase, MOO Print, POPSA, Medefer NHS Partners, Virgo Health and BEUC The European Consumer Organisation. 

Ken Kamara

Ken Kamara is a visionary photographer and director with an innate ability to capture culture, Ken Kamara brings his artistic eye and sharp storytelling instincts to Them Apples as Creative Director. With a career spanning high-impact commercial campaigns, editorial photography, and cutting-edge film direction, Ken has worked with global brands and leading artists to craft visually striking, culturally resonant work that cuts through the noise.

Ken's background in photography and film has made him a go-to creative force in fashion, music, and advertising. His work is defined by a distinct cinematic quality, blending raw authenticity with bold, dynamic visuals. Having collaborated with major international brands and renowned personalities, he understands the power of compelling imagery and narrative to drive engagement and cultural relevance.

Now at Them Apples, Ken is leading the charge in shaping innovative, high-engagement content that merges humour, style, and strategy. His experience in viral marketing, combined with his deep knowledge of visual storytelling, ensures that Them Apples continues to deliver standout campaigns that connect brands with audiences in fresh and unexpected ways.

Roses Okhipo
Creative Consultant

Roses Okhipo is a dynamic creative consultant with a rich background in media and storytelling. As the host of the "Naked Stories" podcast by Soho Media Club, she has engaged in profound conversations with diverse talents, shedding light on underrepresented voices in the industry. Her passion for amplifying marginalized perspectives aligns seamlessly with Them Apples' mission to craft content that resonates deeply and inclusively.

In her career, Roses has collaborated with prominent agencies and brands, contributing to high-profile campaigns that have left a lasting impact. At Jellyfish, she played a pivotal role in campaigns for Adidas, showcasing her ability to connect global brands with their audiences through compelling narratives. Her tenure at Hogarth further honed her skills in delivering creative solutions across various media platforms. Additionally, while working with Craft at McCann London, Roses contributed to campaigns for renowned brands such as L'Oréal, Sky, Xbox, and others, demonstrating her versatility and expertise in the creative industry.

In her role as Creative Consultant at Them Apples, Roses leverages her extensive experience and unique insights to develop innovative strategies that elevate brand narratives, ensuring they are both impactful and culturally attuned.
